Traditional tube bowl centrifuges have been manufactured since the early 1900’s as manually operated designs, which must be disassembled to remove accumulated solids from the separation bowl. The automatic discharge centrifuge has the ability to remove the solids automatically, eliquidsoutlet without contact by the operator and without exposing the process to outside air. This completely sealed device permits isolated transfer of both paste and liquid phases by discharging materials into the mobile mix tank or disposable bag without human intervention.
In bio-separations, centrifuges are used for the purification and concentration of an increasing range of biologic compounds produced by various host cells. Designed specifically for the biotech industry; this centrifuge has been successfully applied to applications such as mammalian, singsanam bacterial, fungal, plant and insect cells. In terms of cell culture, the two most common uses for centrifugation include primary separation following cell harvest (vaccines – polysaccharides), and for lysate clarifiation following lysis (plasmid DNA). vigorousism
Using this technology, solids are seoarated from slurries consisting of sticky pastes of bio-mass or proteins. Disruption of cells can reduce yields and complicate purification. The automatic bio-centrifuge is designed to impart powerful separation forces but still be gentle to fragile cells and other sensitive bio-molecules. Superb clarifying power up to 20,000 x G significantly maximizes separation efficiency and recovery of the high-value liquid phase. The automatic piston discharge technology enables it to collect and discharge up to 99.9+% of bio paste/pellet materials. This automation significantly reduces manual labor costs associated with other tube bowl and batch centrifuges. Each one is programmable for greater consistency including built in Clean-In-Place (CIP) with optional Steam-In-Place (SIP) cycles. kratom tablets
How does it work?
The process begins when a pressurized feed stream enters the centrifuge bowl and is accelerated. The heavier “paste” collects along the bowl wall as the clarified centrate exits the centrifuge. In preparation for discharge, the bowl rotation stops and residual liquid drains to the intermediate tank. Next, pressurized air drives the piston down the bowl, which collects and discharges its contents. With the piston fully advanced, paste is completely discharged from the centrifuge bowl. Pressurized air then drives the piston up the bowl to its home position. The centrifuge is then ready to enter the next cycle. allblogsidea
